I find immense joy in being creative, but I also love the challenge of optimising my process. Sometimes, changing just a small detail suddenly saves three minutes of sanding per bowl. Being self-employed in a traditional craft comes with many challenges—most of them financial. Financial survival mode makes it easy to forget why you started and what initially sparked your joy. To support my well-being, I started taking long walks once or twice a day. At first, walking the same route with only minor variations felt quite boring.
